Working with Rova

How do I start a conversation?

Send what you have: voltage and capacity targets, the envelope the pack has to fit, the duty cycle, and your timeline. Rova will tell you what else it needs before it can quote.

How does Rova handle confidentiality??

Rova understands and respects the confidentiality of every customer; Rova can work under NDA when requested by the customer.

How quickly can I get a quote?

With a complete set of specifications, Rova can usually return a sample quotation and technical proposal as quickly as within 1 day. Rova's rapid feedback can allow for quick iteration on multiple design ideas that you may want to evaluate in parallel. A few more days may be required for complex battery designs.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Minimum quantities depend on the cell and the pack design. Prototype and sample builds are handled separately from production orders.

Does Rova supply standard packs as well as custom?

Yes. The standard catalog lists off-the-shelf packs. Custom packs are covered under Custom Packs.

Design and specification

Which cell chemistries does Rova work with?

Rova works across all major lithium-ion chemistries: LFP, NMC, LCO, and LTO. Each carries distinct trade-offs, and the right one depends on the duty cycle, the temperature range, and the envelope.

Which form factors are available?

Cylindrical, prismatic, and pouch, including LiPo and semi-solid cells.

Can Rova work with a BMS we have already selected?

Yes. Rova integrates and configures BMS technology, and can work with a BMS you specify. Cell protection, balancing, state of charge estimation, and CAN communication are all in scope.

Can the pack be designed to our 3D envelope?

Yes. Rova engineers packs to a supplied 3D envelope, with housing tailored to weight, strength, and IP-rating requirements.

What certifications can the pack carry?

Independent validation and UL certification are available as custom offerings. Transport testing to UN 38.3 applies to lithium shipments.

What operating temperature range should we assume?

The usable range depends on the chemistry and the enclosure. Rova will state the rated charge and discharge windows for the specific pack in the quote.

Manufacturing, supply, and support

Where are Rova packs manufactured?

A US operations team works directly with Rova’s manufacturing base in Asia. Product development, quality assurance, and regulatory work are run from the US side.

How are lithium packs shipped?

Lithium cells and packs ship under the dangerous goods rules that apply to their size and state of charge, which includes UN 38.3 transport testing. Rova covers and manages shipment for sample deliveries.

Is there a warranty?

Warranty terms are set per programme and confirmed in the quote. Rova manages warranty handling as part of its logistics scope.

Can Rova support a production ramp?

Yes. Once sample validation is complete, Rova offers long-term supply agreements to support a production ramp roadmap.

Who do I contact about an existing order?

Email contact@rovabatteries.com and include the pack model or SKU.

Still have a question?

Ask it directly.

Rova would rather answer a specific question than have you guess from a generic spec sheet.
