What we collect
We collect the following categories of data:
- Contact form submissions. When you submit the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, company name, and any message you provide.
- Business correspondence and files. If your inquiry develops into a business conversation, we may collect additional personal data through email and shared files, such as names and contact details included in quotes, technical specifications, or agreements exchanged with you.
- Aggregate site analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand traffic patterns (pages visited, referring source, approximate country, device type). Umami states that it does not use cookies and does not store your IP address in a way that identifies you individually.
This site does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. We do not sell personal data.
Why we collect it
- Contact form data is used to respond to your inquiry, evaluate a potential business relationship, and follow up about our products. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
- Business correspondence and files are used to evaluate, negotiate, and carry out a potential or actual business relationship. Legal basis: performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in pursuing a business relationship where no contract is yet in place.
- Analytics data is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in operating and improving the site. Because this data is aggregated and not tied to an identifiable individual, it does not require cookie consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules.
Who we share data with
We use the following third-party processors:
- Netlify hosts this website and processes contact form submissions on our behalf.
- Umami Cloud processes aggregate analytics data on our behalf.
- Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint) hosts business email and files shared with us in the course of a business conversation.
Umami Cloud processes analytics data in the United States. Umami states that its data processing agreement incorporates Standard Contractual Clauses for cross-border transfers. Netlify's data processing agreement, which incorporates Standard Contractual Clauses, applies automatically to our use of their platform. Our Microsoft 365 tenant, including SharePoint, is US-based. We do not share personal data with any other third party, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing profiling.
How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the data we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We retain contact form submissions, business correspondence, and related files for as long as necessary to manage the business relationship, and delete them on request. We do not apply a fixed deletion schedule; retention is limited to the purpose for which the data was collected. Aggregate analytics data is retained in accordance with Umami Cloud's standard retention settings.
