How Rova delivers an order: how long it takes, where it can go, what freight costs, and what happens if something arrives damaged. Commercial terms, returns, and refunds are on the Terms of Sale page. "Buyer" means the organization placing the order.
Lead times
Lead time depends on whether a pack is in stock, built to order, or a new custom design. Cell availability, transport testing, and customs are what move it.
Rova quotes lead time per order. The order confirmation then states a ship-by window for the agreed pack, quantity, and destination, and that window is what Rova commits to. The clock runs from the order confirmation or from the date the specification is complete, whichever is later.
Indicative ranges by product line are on the product pages.
Where Rova ships
Rova ships worldwide, except to countries, entities, and individuals under US sanctions and export control rules. Every order is screened.
International shipments clear customs, and country rules on carrying lithium can change the route and the transit time. Rova confirms both in the quote.
Rova ships to commercial addresses with a receiving area and someone on site to sign.
Shipping methods and rates
There is no flat rate. Freight depends on weight, dimensions, destination, service level, and the dangerous goods surcharge carriers apply to lithium.
Freight is quoted per shipment, one of three ways, stated on the quote:
- Included. Rova arranges the shipment and delivers to the address on the order confirmation. This is Rova's usual arrangement.
- Prepaid and added. Rova arranges it and adds the actual cost to the invoice.
- On Buyer's account. Buyer supplies a carrier account number, which also carries the dangerous goods surcharge.
Duties, import taxes, and customs brokerage are Buyer's unless the quote says otherwise.
Air is not always available for lithium. Rova notifies Buyer before shipping if a shipment has to move by ground or ocean instead.
Shipping lithium batteries
Packs ship as Class 9 dangerous goods, under UN 3480 on their own and UN 3481 packed with or contained in equipment.
Rova prepares shipments to the rules for the mode: 49 CFR for US ground, the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations for air, and the IMDG Code for ocean. Packs ship partly charged, at the state of charge those rules require. Packing, marking, labeling, and documentation are done by trained personnel.
Handling and storage guidance is on the battery safety page.
Receiving a shipment
Inspect before signing.
- Check the carton count against the packing list.
- Look for crushing, punctures, water damage, or a broken pallet.
- Note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
- Photograph the packaging before opening, and the pack after.
Buyer must report damage or a shortage within 3 business days of delivery, including damage found after unpacking, by emailing contact@rovabatteries.com with the invoice number, photographs, and the delivery receipt.
Buyer must not charge or use a pack showing impact damage, dents, swelling, or an unusual smell. Set it aside away from anything flammable and contact Rova.
Delays
If Rova cannot meet the ship-by window, Rova notifies Buyer with a revised date, and Buyer may cancel the unshipped portion at no charge. Delays outside Rova's control are covered by the force majeure clause in the Terms of Sale.
Tracking and questions
Rova sends tracking when a shipment leaves. For anything in transit, email contact@rovabatteries.com with the invoice number or pack model.
